Services

What we do

Two practices, and an opportunity desk that sources sites and partners for our clients.

New three- and four-storey apartment buildings in grey, blue and orange along a landscaped courtyard

Infrastructure and development projects

Public affairs for projects that need government approvals and community support: land use, housing, commercial development, wireless, clean energy, rail and economic development.

Public policy and campaigns

Policy development and advocacy, issue and referendum campaigns, and general consulting for ballot measures, from announcement to election day.

Site and partnership opportunities

We source sites and partners for our clients: land for cell towers, roofs and acreage for solar, towers to buy, and contractors for upcoming work.

How we work

Every engagement runs to an agenda

Velocity Strategies limits the number of projects, races and ballot measures we take on at any one time, so every client gets our focus and attention. We run a 21st-century workforce model: the team is built for each project or campaign and its budget, so it has an appropriate, full team and your budget keeps working for you.

  1. Understand the environment

We start with your business objectives and map the ground: the agencies and elected officials involved, the stakeholders, the politics of the project and the media.

  2. Formulate the strategy

Together we set a strategy built for your goals, and the right velocity for the project: the speed and the direction that will get it approved.

  3. Engage the stakeholders

We bridge the divide between your project, government, stakeholders and the media, building partnerships that create opportunity.

  4. Deliver the objective

We stay with you from the drawing board to opening the doors, or from announcement to victory, with a team sized to the job.

Land for a cell tower

Own land near a paved road where carriers need coverage? A colocation tower can be paid for by several carriers, not just one.
